Who runs MedNet
MedNet is run by Arida Medical Services (AMS), a roleplay emergency medical service on the SummitLife Arma Reforger server. It is developed and maintained by Commissioner Josh Wong. It is a community site, not a real medical or government service.
Logging in
You log in with Discord. MedNet receives your Discord ID, username, avatar, server nickname and AMS roles. It never sees your Discord password or email address.
MedNet uses only the cookies it needs: one to keep you logged in, one to remember your timezone, and one for short on-screen messages. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Applying to AMS
Your answers, your age and your Discord account are seen only by AMS Human Resources and command, and are kept as part of your HR record, including if you are not accepted.
Your age is used only to check you meet the 18+ requirement (17 with a maturity test). We do not ask for your real name or date of birth.
Reporting a medic
Reports go only to Internal Affairs, never to the medic you report. They include what you tell us: your name, how to contact you, what happened and any evidence links.
To stop spam, MedNet stores a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your connection address, never the address itself.
Members
For AMS members, MedNet keeps service records: duty hours and shifts, units, reports, training, exams, reviews, promotions, leave, commendations and applications, as part of running AMS. Command see records for the departments they command; Internal Affairs and High Command see more where their role needs it.
You can add when you are usually around and your region on your profile; command and FTOs see it to plan shifts and training.
When someone leaves AMS, their records are kept but separated from their callsign, so whoever has that callsign next starts with a clean history.
The AMS Discord
MedNet's bot runs parts of the AMS Discord: roles and nicknames from the roster, roll calls, tickets, applications, the live status and reminders.
For moderation it keeps a log of the server: joins and leaves, role and nickname changes, moderation cases, and a copy of messages that are edited or deleted. Message copies are deleted after 14 days; moderation cases are kept.
Its safety limits read the server's audit log (deleted channels and roles, bans, roles given out, bots and webhooks added) to stop anyone damaging the server, and record what they did.
The ASP Discord
With ASP's agreement, MedNet's bot is in the Arida State Police Discord and reads its member list: Discord IDs, nicknames and roles. It is used only to check that nobody plays the same character in AMS and ASP (volunteers excepted) and to give ASP members their tags in the AMS Discord. It reads no ASP messages.
Messages from MedNet
MedNet tells you about things that concern you on MedNet and by Discord DM. On Notifications you choose which kinds of DM you get, or have them sent together once a day. Internal Affairs, discipline and access messages always come through.
Read notifications are deleted after 60 days, unread ones after 180.
On your own device
While you type in a longer form, MedNet keeps a draft in your own browser so a refresh doesn't lose it. The draft stays on your device, is not sent to MedNet until you send the form, and is deleted after you send it or after 7 days. Use "Discard" to remove it sooner, and avoid drafts on a shared computer.
Demo access
High Command can give someone demo access to show them how MedNet works. They can look around, but not change anything as High Command, and other people's service records, Internal Affairs, applicants' files, tickets and messages are hidden from them.
Asking about your data
To see what MedNet holds about you, or to ask for something to be corrected or removed, contact AMS command on Discord, or use Support on MedNet if you are a member. Some records (discipline, Internal Affairs, moderation) are kept even after you leave, where AMS needs them to run fairly.
Terms of use
Using MedNet
MedNet is for running Arida Medical Services: duty, training, records and the AMS Discord. Use it for that, honestly and in good faith.
SummitLife's server rules and Discord's terms apply here too. AMS rules (the Main Handbook, your department's SOP and High Command mandates) decide how AMS works; MedNet just helps.
Your account
Your access comes from your Discord account and your AMS roles. Keep your Discord account secure and don't let anyone else use it. Don't try to see or change things your access doesn't allow, even if a link or a mistake would let you; tell command instead.
What you put in
Keep reports, reviews, applications and messages truthful and to the point. Deliberately false reports, impersonating someone, or using MedNet to harass anyone can lead to discipline or removal from AMS, and may be passed to SummitLife staff.
Duty hours must reflect real time on duty: clocking in while not playing, or leaving yourself clocked in, is treated as falsifying records.
Command and moderation
Everything command and moderators do on MedNet is recorded, with who did it. Powers are to be used within the Authorisation of Power and the handbook. MedNet's safety limits can pause someone's moderation or remove roles automatically if they appear to be misused; High Command review every one.
Availability and changes
MedNet is run by volunteers and may be down for maintenance or change without notice. Updates are posted in #mednet-updates. These terms and this privacy page may change; the date at the top shows the latest version.
If anything here is unclear, ask in Support or contact AMS High Command.
